The Challenge

CHALLENGE YOURSELF  •  CHALLENGE OTHERS

Are you up for the challenge?  Can you imagine what it would be like to have to spend your time and energy hauling clean water for miles?

How are you raising awareness and money to bring clean water to those in need?

Take a moment and think about how you can challenge yourself and others.  Here are just a few ideas … we would love to hear from you how you have taken the challenge a step further!

  • Encourage your children to come up with creative fundraising ideas, or ways to raise awareness about their participation in the walk.  Let us know about it!
  • SHARE information about this event in social media.  Share on Facebook, tweet on Twitter, text your friends, forward emails.
  • Challenge your co-workers.  A little friendly competition for a good cause!  Create teams and compete.  You can even have fun competitions like best team costumes, best team name, most members, most sponsors, etc.
  • Make it a neighborhood party.  You can start the day with a neighborhood get-together, then join us for the walk in the evening.  It’s a great way to build relationships with your neighbors and your community.
  • Ask businesses to sponsor you, or sponsor the event.  Tell your banker, your insurance agent, restaurant, hair salon, gas station, mechanic – any business you frequent.  Ask if they will post a flier in their business, or if they will consider a sponsorship.
  • If your child is on a sports team, get their teammates together to form a Walk 4 Water team!
